Lacrosse is the fastest game on two feet: ten players a side moving a ball with netted sticks, four quarters, goals worth one. Every possession starts with a faceoff at the X in the middle of the field, which is why the X is our signature. It is physical like football, flows like basketball, and finishes like hockey.
Attackmen live at the offensive end and finish. Middies run the whole field both ways. Goals and assists add up to points.
Long poles disrupt, cause turnovers, and scoop ground balls. The goalie is the last line, and save percentage tells the story.
Faceoff, get off. A specialist who wins possession at the X after every goal and every quarter. Win the X, win the game.
The district matchup that circles itself on the calendar. Twice a year, minimum.

Home games are played at The Swamp on the Greenwood campus. The season runs March into May, with region and state tournaments closing it out. Friday night faceoffs are the norm, weeknight games mixed in.

Contact Coach Derek Adams through the school athletic office. No experience required, most of the roster started from zero.
Helmet, gloves, pads, and a stick. The program has loaner gear for first-year players while you learn the game.
Conditioning and tryouts run in late winter before the March season. Watch the school announcements and this site for dates.
